Platform SW Engineer/Specialist (NSN)
Job DescriptionMain Purpose of the Role and Key Responsibilities: We are looking for a SW Engineer/SW Specialist to support local programs with Platform DSP SW (DSP HWAPI SW) issues. You would act as the first contact point for the programs when support is needed in analysing new DSP HWAPI functionalities or in troubleshooting problems. In your role you would work in close co-operation with local (TD-LTE) program people and with Platform SW organization people in Oulu and Ulm.
Requirements: You should be enthusiastic, analytical and have ability to communicate and co-operate with other people. The following qualifications are preferred.
- Experience on Embedded SW designing, implementation and testing
- Experience on Real time OS
- Experience on C coding
- Experience on test & debugging tools
- Familiar with SW version handling
- Understanding of SW processes
Personal Attributes: - Motivated and capable of learning fast new things
- Good English communication skills in both verbal and written. Finnish or German is surplus
- Team player and willing to work in multi-cultural environment
- Good problem solving skills
- Self driven, flexible and open minded
Business Unit Description: Our BU is responsible for provisioning the best in class radio access networks for GSM, WCDMA and LTE technologies. The responsibility of BTS Platfom Service is to specify, design, implement, integrate and verify hardward and software for NSN base stations. We are offering basic platform services to BTS products.
Embedded software Engineer/Specialist(NSN)
Key Responsibility:
Engineer is responsible for designing/implementing/module testing/verifying platform functionalities for DX 200 platform.The work aims to ensure new functionality are developed, built and verified without breaking any existing core system functionality. It also aims to maintain existing functionalities in the platform.
Requirements:
Mandatory skills:
-Good C programming skill
-Good Spoken and reading/written English skills
-Good communication skills
-Master or Bachelor degree in SW engineering, computer science or telecom
Advantage:
-Experience in embedded SW developing or Linux SW developing
-Good knowledge about SW development methods both waterfall process and agile methods.
-Linux/Unix administration experience is a plus.
-Telecom field working experience
-Passionate in Programming

DX 200 is well known as a reliable and competitive platform, it is used in BSC, MSC, HLR, MSC Server, SGSN, … and DX 200 platform evolving in line with the latest technology trends, e.g. ATCA and BOX HW based platform evolution.
