Job Description:

Develop Software architectures and high level designs for ASON/GMPLS Control Plane solutions for Carrier Grade Multiservice Layer transport systems supporting DWDM, SONET/SDH, and Ethernet.

Qualifications:

Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.A minimum of 10-15 years software architecture, design and development experience with 5 or more years of network protocol development (L2 and/or L3), strong verbal communication skills and programming in C/C++ are required.Candidates should also have prior experience in providing technical leadership in the development of MPLS and/or IP routing products. Prior experience in ASON GMPLS and with integration of third-party protocol stacks is preferred. Additional Desired Qualifications:Education: BSEE/BSCS or equivalent experience required.

Some travel to the U.S. for training and architecture review is required.

Specific responsibilities will include implementation and unit testing of routing and signaling protocols (OSPF-TE and RSVP-TE) to support the ASON/GMPLS Control Plane. Additional duties include high level design and participation in design reviews, troubleshooting and engineering support.

Prior experience in call and/or connection management in ASON CP for SONET/SDH networks is desirable. Specific responsibilities will include testing of routing and signaling protocols (OSPF-TE and RSVP-TE) to support the ASON/GMPLS Control Plane for MPLS-TP and OTN switching.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 3 years experience in network protocol testing, strong communication skills and script programming (e.g. Tcl, Expect, and Visual Basic) are desired. Prior experience in MPLS/GMPLS is preferred. Additional Desired Qualifications:Education: BSEE/BSCS or equivalent experience required.
