Installing Funambol DM server
The only open source OMA-DM server available for now is the one made by Funambol. The development stopped at the end of 2006 but it is usable for testing purposes. Here are the installation instructions on a Linux distribution:
We assume that all files and folders mentioned in this document will be placed in a folder located here:/home/user/funambol/. Make sure to change “user” to proper user name.

Install JDK
Download and install latest JDK (i.e. from here) (i.e.: jdk-6u23-linux-i586.bin).
Installation instructions may be found on Java web site (i.e. here).
Here is a summary:
•Copy downloaded file into funambol folder (i.e. /home/user/funambol/)
•Set execute permissions to downloaded file with command:
chmod +x binary-file-name.bin
•Execute downloaded file with command:
./binary-file-name.bin
•A folder will be created. You may now delete the downloaded file.
