DSP SW Engineer

MainResponsibility

Design and develop DSPrealtime software for 3G Mobile Radio Networksproducts in a team-oriented environment.
As part of an Agile software team, the candidate will work on design andimplementation of embedded and application software for wireless network,signal processing algorithms. He/she will provide leadership and innovation insoftware architecture, high level and low level design, standards and bestpractices.

Work on assignedprojects to maintain or develop new company guidance and stabilization productsin accordance with the company's software development lprocess and methodology;

Analyze softwarerequirements to determine feasibility of design within time land cost constraints;

·
Work with other teammembers to develop alternative system and software designs; Formulate anddesign signal processing algorithms for products and systems, using scientificanalysis and mathematical models to predict and lmeasurethe outcome and consequences of the design;

Apply generallyaccepted programming standards and techniques to assure efficient program logicand data manipulation for time and space constrained platforms; Test softwareusing remote debuggers, emulators, simulators and logic lanalyzers;

Plan and executesoftware releases, version upgrades, custom interfaces and lsoftware quality assurance activities;

Create and reviewdesign and product information including specification ldocument for technical accuracy;

·
Analyze theperformance of hardware and software interfaces and identify lalternatives for optimizing the usage of resources;

Consult with otherengineering staff to evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, andoperational and performance requirements of overall system designs;

Requirements

MS in CS, EE orequivalent preferred, BS with directly applicable experience will beconsidered;

5+ years of hands-onembedded microprocessor software design and development required;

Experiencedprogrammer in Real Time Embedded C required;

Good knowledge ofmobile (wireless) communications required

·
Working knowledge ofdesign and SCM tools required;

·
Strong written andoral communications skills in English required;

In line with Agileway of working required;

Experience with TexasInstruments DSP processors and their architecture is a plus;
