Sr. Engineer A (MSO China SW)

Job Description:
This is an engineering position in the Tellabs MSO 719x group.
-
Minimum 5 years software development experience on relevant areas using object oriented methodology
-
Requirements analysis and breakdown to high level designs,
-
Writing detailed design documentation
-
Developing designs and coding for Java/C++ application for the Tellabs 719x network management systems.

Requirements:
-
Must have BSEE/BSCE and 5+ years C++/Java programming and Oracle experience
-
Experience in object oriented design methodology with STL, UML/Rational Rose a plus
-
Telecom industrial background is required
-
Project experience in distributed architecture using CORBA/TAO and multi-threaded programming is desired
-
Oracle application development and administration, OCCI, store procedure using PL/SQL, triggers, stored procedures and schema design, high availability applications using Data-Guard is a plus
-
Experience with TL1 and/or SNMP protocols is preferred. Competency in English is required

Sr. Engineer B (MSO China SW)

Job Description:
This is an engineering position in the Tellabs MSO 719x group.

Minimum 5 years software development experience on relevant areas using object oriented methodology

Requirements analysis and breakdown to high level designs

Writing detailed design documentation

Developing designs and coding for Java application for the Tellabs 719x network management systems.

Requirements:

Must have BSEE/BSCE and 5+ years C++/Java programming experience

Must have working knowledge of UML and be proficient in Java SE programming

Telecom industrial background is required

Experience in object oriented design methodology with UML/Rational Rose is required

Knowledge and experience in the following areas are required: Java AWT, Swing and 2D graphics, multi-threaded programming, network management software development with Java IDE e.g., Eclipse or other on Windows/Solaris platforms, CORBA/JACORB, Oracle/JDBC, network security protocols

Experience with TL1 or SNMP is preferred

Competency in English is required.

This is an engineering position with responsibility in system integration testing in the Tellabs MSO 719x group.

Minimum 2 years system integration experience in network equipment and specializing in SDH/SONET, DWDM, L2 Ethernet
-
The responsibilities include manual testing with setting up testing environment, designing, implementing, debugging and executing test cases and scripts in a simulated or real environment, reporting and analyzing the test results
-
Additional responsibility includes participating in regular communication with domestic and oversea peers


Requirements:
-
Must have BSEE/BSCE and 2 years working experiences in telecom industry
-
Direct experience in testing, planning, installing and supporting network management software is required
-
In depth knowledge and experience of key FCAPS concepts is mandatory.
-
Working experience in Windows and Unix environment including knowledge of shell commands are needed
-
Experience in script programming is helpful
-
Experience with TL1 and/or SNMP protocols is preferred
-
Experience with Oracle database and PL/SQL is plus
-
ISTQB(CSTQB) certification is preferred.
-
The candidate must have good verbal and written English skills.
